Why Take a Private Yoga Session?

Pattiyoga

Yoga has been one of the oldest practices of healing, with a rich history lasting at least 5,000 years. Integrating yoga into your regular routine is beneficial in so many ways, including flexibility, muscle relaxation and injury prevention. Different types of classes provide even more benefits, but an overall sense of wellbeing and even increased oxygen levels can be felt as you continue yoga.

Private yoga can be the perfect alternative to traditional yoga classes to deepen your practice and achieve personal goals.

1. Rehabilitation from Injuries

Injuries and health concerns can make a yoga class impractical for some, as a yoga instructor can’t focus on individual needs and special alterations for poses. Private sessions offer more safety. To avoid further complications, a private session is best so you can inform your instructor of your health history, prior surgeries or any illnesses. They’ll be able to take the time to modify and get into and out of every pose properly, and tailor your class to you and your needs.

2. Unlimited Schedule

Making time to practice is an essential element of yoga. Private yoga sessions can work around personal plans and scheduling conflicts of the class schedule, allowing more flexibility for you. If it’s not possible to make it to a class, usually private classes can accommodate the most hectic of schedules, while also giving you other incredible benefits.

3. Personal Goals

Private yoga sessions give students the ability to focus on individual goals, concerns or interests. This is great for students who want a tailored class to help access inner strength and balance, while also focusing on specific body flexibility, breathing or meditation. You’ll get an opportunity to request certain mental and physical needs from your instructor for that particular day.

4. New to Yoga

If you’re new to yoga, it’s easy to get overwhelmed or lose the confidence that you built up to come into class in the first place. There is no such thing as being “bad” at yoga, and at Serasana we offer a journey into yoga for everyone. Private instructors have all their attention on you during your session! They are there to encourage and help you understand the mechanics of the poses and you’ll also build a wonderful relationship with your instructor. With this one-on-one assistance, you’ll see yourself become more flexible and confident as each session is fine-tuned to your needs.

Serasana offers all types of private and semi-private yoga sessions from 60-80 minutes, starting at $80. Check our yoga page and click ‘Schedules’ to learn more about our instructors or call us at your nearest studio to get started.
